History of the Pro-Camel

The Pro-Camel 24 Automatic Gold Panning Machine (24″ Spiral Wheel) is the big brother of the Desert Fox Automatic Gold Panning Machine and the largest 12-volt automatic spiral gold panning machine manufactured anywhere. It was introduced to the mining community in 2009 and has received rave reviews since its release and is known as one of the top fine gold recovery systems on the market today.

Features of the Pro-Camel Automatic Gold Panning Machine

The Pro-Camel Automatic Gold Panning Machine uses the same basic technology of gold separation as a traditional gold pan: Water, Motion, & Gravity. Because gold is so much heavier than the other material that it’s found with, it can be easily separated from like sized material.

With a traditional gold pan, you create a slurry of water and material mixing it well to allow the gold to drop down to the bottom of the pan. You then slowly & carefully wash off the lighter material by dipping the edge of the pan in the water.

The same basic principles are being applied with the Pro-Camel, but much faster and more efficiently than panning by hand.

Pro-Camel RunningThe Pro-Camel’s Aqua-Jet provides an ample water supply to the edge and bottom of the spiral wheel to create the slurry needed to allow the gold to separate from the other material. As it does, the gold is scooped up in the 15 spiral riffles and stays there because of the deep “V” design. As the wheel turns, the spray bar rinses the lighter material away allowing the gold to ride up the spirals. When the gold drops into the second stage, any material tagging along for the ride is washed away allowing the clean gold to be deposited through the center hole of the wheel and into the gold catch cup hanging on the back of the machine.

The Desert Fox Spiral wheel was computer designed for maximum speed and efficiency. The Desert Fox drive unit is gear driven and ball bearing equipped — the only spiral panning machine built with sealed ball bearings. This means less friction and less battery power needed! It runs very quiet and it is energy efficient too! Our exclusive aqua-jet on the spray-bar churns and mixes the materials in the wheel for the fastest recovery possible. This model is equipped with pontoons that have increased stability over previous models, while remaining compact and lightweight. The frame remains essentially the same as previous models. It’s a sturdy bolt together design which allows the dredge to be disassembled into smaller components for ease of transport. Assembly requires only a few hand tools.

The gold dredge is equipped with the Honda GX200 engine and HP400 pump. This gold dredge is equipped with Proline’s “sure-flow” coupler, which essentially, eliminates all surface rock jams. Proline’s unique one piece jet/flare assembly not only reduces down time caused by rock jams, is extremely light, and outlasts conventional steel jets by four to five times!

This gold dredge uses the highly acclaimed “wave classifier” which is proven to greatly enhance fine gold recovery by eliminating the problems associated with processing low grade sand. The classifier develops a pulsing, or “jigging,” action which prevents the dredged material from loading up under it. By shedding the low grade particles, the fine gold can drop out of suspension earlier and accumulate under the classifier where it is safe from the turbulence and disturbance caused by the larger rocks traveling through the sluice. The rear portion of the sluice box utilizes “Hungarian” riffles for maximum efficiency and the dredge is equipped with Nomad matting for the ultimate in fine gold recovery. No other 4″ gold dredge even comes close.
