Turbopan eliminates the problem of compaction that happens in the traditional pan because it is basically a circular sluice. Turbopan doesn’t require running water like a sluice, it simply maximizes the effects of gravity. Its shallow depth means it can be used in puddles and troughs. Proline manufactures one of the most comprehensive series of pumps in the small dredge industry today. These are high performance centrifugal pumps designed specifically for operating our dredges and dual-purpose machines. First, they are cast in the US from high quality aluminum then heat treated to a “T-6” hardness for years of service. Each part is then machined on computer controlled equipment to maintain the exact tolerances required for optimum performance. Proline pumps are 5-vane and 6-vane “aggressive bite” impellers with large intake throats to provide high volume with working pressure greater than normally found on pumps of this type. They are hand-assembled using US made seals and grade 8 hardware. The two triple row spray bars ensure that all of the gravel, clay, roots, etc. are thoroughly washed and separated before running through the recovery system. The grizzley is designed to be strong yet surprisingly lightweight. Like all of our other grizzleys, it is removable to allow for easy access to the classifier and black “V” ribbed matting for inspection and/or cleanup. Also, if the combo is going to be operated solely as a dredge, the grizzley can be removed to save weight.

The unit is powered by a Honda GX160 engine and Proline’s powerful HP300 pump. This is a higher pressure pump designed specifically for pushing water higher and further, making it ideal for high-banking. Proline supplies 15 feet of dredge hose standard, however, many customers upgrade to a longer hose.

Our use of a power jet provides maximum dredge vacuum with fewer rock jams compared to combos that rely in the old-fashioned, cumbersome, suction nozzles. This combo can be equipped with an air compressor kit, just like our 3″ dredge, if you wish to increase your dredging productivity. It’s no surprise that the Proline 3″ combo has seen such wide popularity with prospecting clubs, exploration companies, and miners who require a very versatile machine in a small, rugged package.

The Honda engine is very quiet, offering nearly twice the fuel economy of the 2-cycle engines, and it eliminates the need to mix gas and oil. Proline’s HP100 pump is manufactured with the same quality and features found on our larger pumps, such as the “flusher port,” which supplies water pressure to run a flusher nozzle for cleaning crevices. The Proline was the first 2″ dredge with this feature. Due to recent changes in the pump and jetting system on this dredge, the suction power has dramatically increased. This increase in power led to a new classifier with a riffle system that produces a more effective low pressure vortex behind the riffles themselves, improving fine gold recovery. Proline’s unique one-piece classifier/riffle system simply unlatches and lifts out of the sluice box, which makes for fast and easy cleanups. We still use “Nomad” matting for the entire length of the sluice box.

The pontoons are actually used as part of the frame, eliminating the need for a heavier conventional frame. A rod is supplied for clearing rock jams that occur at the power jet, and actually stays on the dredge when not in use. Through these improvements we were able to shed a few pounds, while making the dredge stronger. We suggest that you compare our features and quality with every other small dredge on the market. No other 2″ dredge compares.

Proline 3 Inch Dredge With GX160 And HP300 Pump (*Local Pickup Only)

Before its arrival most 3″ dredges were essentially the same size as their 4″counterparts because they used the same pontoons, frame, pump, etc. This dredge was designed to be smaller and lighter than our 4″ dredge, without sacrificing strength or stability. It sits on its own frame with pontoons that were matched to its size and weight. Another unique feature of this dredge is the pump. To this day, the HP300 is the only pump on the market designed specifically for 3″ dredges. There is no reason to pay for a big, heavy pump, when the idea is to keep the size and weight down in the first place.

This is the smallest dredge that Proline offers with our well known “sure-flow” hose coupler system. This tried and true design essentially eliminates all surface rock jams, while making it far easier to attach the dredge hose to the power jet.

In a time when some companies are now building flimsy, unstable dredges to cut manufacturing costs, and calling their creations “mini” this or “ultra” that, Proline continues to build a true 3″ dredge to provide years of trouble-free service with unmatched performance.
